COOKIES! I’m BACK!
Hi! I’m back from Beijing safe and sound
Of course one of the first things I did when I got back was eat a couple of Diddy Riese cookies.
The cookies in China aren’t the same
Good thing I packed a pack of Pepperidge Farm cookies in my suitcase, otherwise would have gone on withdrawal again.
On my last day there, we went to a tea house where we did get some cookies:
The cookie on the upper left is my favorite. It’s called “Pear shaped cookie” and (while tasting nothing like a pear, just kind of looking like one) it tasted really good! Those of you who know me will know that I really like crusts. I forgot what was inside, but the outside was soft and slightly crumbly, and very sweet. The one under it is a flower-shaped cookie with ..jujubi? in it. I just pretended it was chocolate. It wasn’t a very good chocolate cookie though. The one on the right is a taro with green tea cookie. I hate taro, so I didn’t try this one, although everyone else at the table said it was really good.
happy eats everyone!

yeah they look too fancy for me. lol at your description of the first one “it’s called pear-shaped cookie” – sounds ultra-Chinese.
