Polly’s Pies Donates 144,000 Cookies to Troops
“Cookies for Our Troops” is an initiative started by Polly’s Pies employee Marisol Lizarraga. They donated a dozen cookies overseas for every dozen bought by customers.

From May 17 to July 7, there were 12 thousand dozen cookies bought — and thus came the 12 thousand dozen cookies overseas. After word got out during their program, sales of dozens of cookies went up by 100%. That’s so great!! I’m so happy that cookies are being used to spread cheer and thanks.
- Coach’s Oats donated 500 lbs of oats.
- Guittard’s donated 250 lbs of chocolate.
- Ceradyne, an Irvine-based body armor manufacturer, donated military-approved shipping boxes.
- We Do Graphics, an Orange-based printing company, donated notepads labeled with “Cookies For Our Troops” for customers to include personal messages
