John Carlson is my man right now. He wrote a whole article revolving around eating cookies for breakfast and how to do it the right way. I thought I could only do that in college!!!

It’s like, lately, if I don’t have some cookies around the house, I get all depressed and out-of-sorts.

My words exactly. I feel like people don’t get it. (The part I don’t agree with him on, though, is when he says they could be any cookie; that they don’t have to be any specific cookie. I am one of the pickiest eaters I know, and that DEFINITELY carries over to cookies. Perhaps even more importantly so when compared to my veggies.) He goes on to say that he has gotten to the point where his usual breakfast routine consists of cookies and coffee, and eventually doing the sacred dip into the coffee. BUT. He gets all that gross-soggy-cookie-crumbs-at-the-bottom-of-the-mug problem. Well. You can read the article yourself (link above), but I’d like to close this blog entry with another brilliant quote of his:

… if you have to diligently practice anything, it might as well be eating cookies.

Can I get an Amen? AMEN!

…as today is the day I became even more proud of my mom. I was at Trader Joe’s and called my mom if she needed anything. She first said milk. Then I asked if she needed anything else? She politely requested cookies. Soft, chewy cookies to be exact. I’m so proud of her! Asking for milk and cookies! *tear* I bought her some ones that looked yummy and will post a review really soon I can’t wait!!

I saw these hot new products from Pillsbury at Ralphs this weekend; I should have picked one up for a day like today (yes, it was one of those days). Well, hopefully I can win one (plus a cookie jar, a nice lil tote bag that I can use to carry MORE cookie dough, and a grocery notebook so I can write down which cookies I have to remember to buy) in Megan from Megan’s Munchies ‘s contest!
